Indigoletta – a violet-lilac climbing rose
Indigoletta is a climbing rose with large violet-lilac flowers that can take on bluish tints in cool light. I planted it in Bran (Brașov County, Romania) in October 2026, and this profile will follow how it adapts and grows in the garden.

Why I chose Indigoletta
It’s a vigorous climber for a fence or pergola, with large violet-blue flowers and a strong fragrance. It’s among the mauve varieties with good cold hardiness. The second flush of flowers is more modest, but for me it’s still a variety that deserves a place in any garden that wants a climbing rose that turns heads.
Purchase and planting

The plant was bought bare-root and planted in Bran in October 2026. I’ll fill out this profile with my own photos of the first shoots, buds and flowers, then of the mature bush.
Updates from the garden
The first update will be added in the 2027 season, after it starts growing and blooms for the first time.
